The Different Wages of Saudi and Non-Saudi employees

The Labor Market Data of the second quarter for the current year provided by the General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia shows the average salary of Saudi employee and Non-Saudi employee in both Family and Private sectors.

The average salary of Saudi employee in the private sector is 7,717 SAR per month, while the average salary of Non-Saudi is 3,855 SAR per month.

According to an analysis provided by the Economics Reports Unit in the Saudi newspaper called “Al-Lqtissadiya”, the average salary of Saudi employee in the private sector is twice the average salary of Non-Saudi employee.

And the same applies to the average salaries of employees in the Family Sector, where the average salary of Saudi employee is twice the salary of Non-Saudi during the second quarter of 2017.

The average salary of Saudi employee is 3,765 SAR per month in the Family sector, while the Non-Saudi employee’s average salary is 1,926 SAR per month during the second quarter of this year.

According to the analysis, Non-Saudi employees make up 81.7% of Social Insurance employees, with 8.34 million employees, while the Saudi employees make up 18.3%, with 1.87 million employees.

The number of employees subject to the Civil Service regulations in Saudi Arabia is 1.25 million by the end of the second quarter of this year, with an average salary of 10,632 SAR per month.
